UP/DOWN

An exploration of visual observations, this book is the result of research, writing, image gathering and design using my own environment/habitat as the primary research material.

It’s Oh So Quiet

This poster is an interpretation of a piece of music that uses typography, imagery and layout in a “more dimensional” design solution.

Augmentation

Both the literal and abstract meaning of a word serve as inspiration for these typographic experiments with form and composition.

Finding Your Way

A big idea connects the initial idea to an opportunity and finally to the results and deliverables. Given the green light to develop my thesis, this is my big idea.

Earth-Conscious Eating

Every time we eat, we make choices that either positively or negatively affect our health and well-being. This book was designed and written to make aware that our greater, collective well-being is much more at stake.

An Invitation to Learn

You’re invited to a healthy dinner with a side of healthy conversation. Ten party guests come together to enjoy an earth-conscious meal, learn what it takes to make such a meal possible and share personal food stories.

Web of Impact

To tackle issues of complexity and to refine my ideas for the Earth-Conscious Eating book, I designed this information map to show the interconnectedness of all things.

Anadromous

Using typography to tell a story of survival, this book takes a journey downstream with Pacific Northwest salmon as they migrate from freshwater to the ocean and back upstream to spawn.

1939 Golden Gate Int’l Expo

In cooperation with the Golden Gate National Park Services, the Presidio Trust and the Treasure Island Development Authority, I developed an interactive website spotlighting the 1939 Int’l Exposition.
